The Boston Cinema Census is a currated program that covers the spectrum of film forms—fiction, documentary, animation and experimental—in an annual evening dedicated to presenting the best in current regional filmmaking to a local audience. Please visit the pages for specific festivals to see full program details!

The Boston Cinema Census was established in 2001 by Central Productions—a nonprofit film arts and production support organization whose mission is to advance an emerging film community and to contribute alternative bodies of work within the culture of the moving image. Central Productions offers support to emerging filmmakers that are dedicated to giving something of themselves through the experience of addressing the rules and ideals of the filmmaking.
